When choosing a makeup school there are alot of factors to consider ( 30 Questions to Ask Before Enrolling in Makeup School ). It can be easy to feel influenced by advertisement, other people's opinions, and expectations  we create in our heads but what are the realities of attending makeup school? Let's go over them:

What Not to Expect:

Not all Makeup Courses are the same

Doing a makeup course does not guarantee you work

Doing a makeup course does not guarantee you success

Doing a makeup course does not automatically make you a professional makeup artist

Doing a makeup course will not give you instant industry respect

Doing a makeup course doesn't get you into the makeup artist unions

Doing a makeup course doesn't cover any legal requirements to do makeup in a salon (the requirements vary state to state here in the US)

Doing a makeup course does not give you instant confidence to apply makeup
